Silver ion Antimicrobial Inside

Ag+ silver ion antimicrobial added to the TPU formula to keep the germs away so we can enjoy a healthier life with our case.

What is Ag+ silver ion?

AG+_工作區域 1 複本.jpg

Silver is a well-documented antimicrobial, that has been shown to kill bacteria, fungi and certain viruses.

It is the positively charged silver ions (Ag+) that possess the antimicrobial effect. Silver ions target microorganisms through several different modes of action.

Can you be allegic to silver?

Many people who believe that they are allergic to gold or silver jewellery are allergic to nickel, which can occur as a trace element in gold or silver or has been used in the manufacture of gold jewellery to whiten and strengthen the piece. In less expensive jewellery, nickel is often used in the base metal which is then plated with gold or silver.

Effects of Ag+ silver ion on bacteria

1

Silver ions (Ag+) bind to the bacterial cell wall

blocking transport of substances in and out of the cell.

2

Silver ions are transported into the bacterial cell where they

block the respiratory system destroying energy producton.

3

In the bacterial cell silver ions interact with DNA and inhibit

bacterial cell division stopping replication.

Ag+ silver ion effectively eliminate bacteria

Ag+ silver ion is proved effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

This is the actual testing result with 0.2% Ag+ silver ion added into ABS material, testing under ISO22196 standarnd.
